Tech Tip: Imagus

This week, I am going to talk about an awesome Chrome extension.  This is something that wasn't on the recommended list of Tech Tips, but since I did almost all of those last semester, I'm getting a little creative with things.  This Chrome extension is called Imagus  and it's about to become your best friend.  This extension lets you hover over a picture on a website and it will instantly "zoom."  What the extension does is allows you to hover over a picture and show you the full size of the image.  This comes in handy for websites like Reddit.  When you want to take a quick break from everything to look at cute animal pictures on reddit.com/aww,  Imagus lets you easily see each picture without having to click each link, let it load, and then see the picture.  By just hovering over the link to the photo, Imagus will show you the full size picture!  Screenshot taken from Chrome extension page I highly recommend this if you look...

Reading A: Mahabharata

This week I read Myths of the Hindus and Buddhists: Mahabharata by Sister Nivedita. The first half of this was really fun to read. Drona trains the prince's after he shows them his supernatural abilities. I feel like most of the first section was build up and background to bigger things. My favorite part form this half was The House of  Lac. The part about the princes being banished would be so much fun to write with Zuko's banishment from Avatar the Last Airbender. If I don't find something more interesting in the second half, that's probably the way I will go. Sunset photo taken by me

Finding My Favorite Place

Last semester, I talked about my hammock in my parents' backyard as my favorite place.  Any time I am in my hammock in the trees, I am definitely happy.  But, I think in the past 6 months I have discovered a new favorite place. My boyfriend's parents live in a beautiful house on Lake Eufaula.  He and I go there often on the weekends to visit his parents and just get away from everything.  Their house overlooks the lake and they have a balcony on each level with a gorgeous view of the water.  This side of the house faces west, so each afternoon, we have the best view of the sunsets on the water.  My favorite place to watch them is on the little balcony up in the tower.  The view is incredible from up there and you feel like it's just you and the lake. I guess my favorite place is more of a moment.  That magical moment when the sun is just above the tree line on the opposite side of the lake.  When the sky is on fire with brilliant shades ...
